Touched by Christopher Ltd was established in July 2019 after the tragic death of Christopher Cassaniti, who was crushed by a collapsed scaffold at a Jobsite in Macquarie Park. Christopher’s death touched many people in the community and the parents, Robert and Patrizia Cassaniti were overwhelmed by the outpouring of financial and emotional support. In turn they would like to give back to help families in the same situation that have lost a loved one in the construction industry.
In the infancy of the foundation the constitution states that they will help families affected by death on a construction site in New South Wales. As bushfires ravaged throughout Australia late 2019 early 2020, Patrizia and Robert extended their constitution to include helping the families of the volunteer firefighters who lost their lives, trying to save others whilst on duty.
The Touched by Christopher Constitution will donate $20 per person within the household of the deceased, per day for 92 days in the form a Gift Voucher towards Groceries for either Coles or Woolworths and $1500 as a lump sum via a prepaid Visa Card to cover any outstanding bills such as Electricity, Gas, Water, Phone etc.
Based on an average family of 4, that equates to $5180 that will be donated by the foundation to each family that falls in the category of our constitution.
